Full Service Haircut

our full service haircuts are not your average grooming experience!

We evaluated every product that touches your pet and we do not use value brands. We provide you with a true spa experience that is always customized for your pet! not every visit is the same, so neither should be your pet’s grooming experience. Here’s the breakdown of what is included in the full service haircuts:

• a complimentary blueberry facial scrub or hypoallergenic face wash that is always tearless and high quality! blueberry facial scrubs offer a wonderful scent, soak for up to 5 minutes to brighten, remove oils from your pets skin, and get an exceptional clean that lasts longer than other products. our hypoallergenic facial scrub is also a face soak that provides a great clean!

• a premium shampoo that is selected by your stylist for what would most benefit your pet. examples would be detangling, anti-itch, hydrating, degreasing, whitening, clarifying, etc…

• a premium conditioning treatment! our stylists select the conditioner that best would fit your pet’s needs while closing the follicle of the hair. If pets do not receive conditioning treatments, it leaves the follicles open. an open follicle will pick up scents, dirt, debri, and hair can tangle more easily.

• a leave in conditioning treatment or finishing spray. these are applied during dry times to prevent damaged hair and/or during the brushing process to release tangles more easily, which makes brushing out much more comfortable for your pet. we offer several kinds including probitoic options, hypoallergenic, deshedding sprays, detangling, hydrating, and more!

• blow outs! we have and utilize multiple ways to dry your pet. we have options to help pets with anxiety around the drying process! during the blow out, our stylist can utilize “happy hoodies” which look like scarves that go around the face and ears. it relaxes certain pressure points while blocking the louder sound of the velocity dryers. it also absorbs water from the area with its towel like texture. these are washed and sanitized after every use. we offer unlimited towel drying (some salons limit the use of how many towels are used) and we offer “super absorbant” towels which were created with specifically pets in mind. They absorb more water quickly from your pets coat, which cuts down the dry time for your pet. types of dryers we have are heated velocity dryers (blows tangles apart, removes dead skin, dead hair, and really gets the pet dry from the skin to the tip of the hair; however can be scary for some pets.) the heated effect allows for better results, keeping your pet warmer after their pet, which helps keep them more comfortable, but also allows for dead coat to come out more easily. we offer fluff drying which is a more expensive dryer due to the engine being different from the velocity dryers. they are much quieter, but definitely take more time and give fantastic results! we have dryer brushes for small areas of the body like ears for pets that don’t like the other drying options. our last option is the kennel dryers. pets are provided dog bed/mats (wash and sanitized between every pet) that absorb water from the coat and the dryer circulates room temperature air to dry your pet while providing a comfortable, sanitized space just for them. the drying process is an important step for the total grooming process, but we recognize it can be a scary or stressful experience for pets. while our goal remains getting your pet back to you as quickly as we can, we will always allow the pet to set the pace of the grooming process. do not hesitate to ask us questions about this process! as certified groomers, we study, discuss, and always evaluate how to improve this process to provide the best experience for your pet.

• brush outs! not every brush or comb is the same. our stylists invest hundreds of dollars or more into our brushes. our brushes are well cared for and we utilize a wide range of them to meet your pet’s needs. for example, google combs. it’s an overwhelming amount of different kinds, so our team has many different ones to ensure a great groom is done. we use pin brushes, slickers brushes (many kinds), deshedding tools, mat breaking tools, undercoat rakes, etc….. i won’t bore you with the details, but let me assure you, your pet will be wonderfully brushed out! if your pet has matting (tangles that cannot be brushed because they are webbed or locked against the skin, causing underlying issues) that is a separate service not included in our full service haircuts.

• nail trimming! No need to ask. we will get them as short as we can, but our goal is to never get too short. we may recommend more frequent nail trimming if your pet’s quick aka the nerve is growing out. ask us about nail grinding if this is an issue.

• ear cleaning! ear cleaning is always provided after the bathing/drying process. if moisture gets in pets ears it can cause an infection. for this reason, we provide it after the bathing/drying process. we offer a few different types of ear cleaners, but all have witch hazel to provide relief to any itchiness. they also cleanse and dry the ear to prevent any issues. some of our ear cleaners are made with silver, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and we have a medicated ear cleaner for our allergy or chronic ear infection pets.

• anal gland expression (external only)- this you must request. there are many debates if groomers should or shouldn’t do this service. if you are unfamilar with what an anal gland is or if it should be ton, please don’t hesitate to reach out! we are willing to externally express them in the shampoo process (prevents the smell from sticking into the coat).

• haircut of your choice! but……within reason. we aren’t magicians, so we can’t make matted dogs long and fluffy. all joking aside, not all haircuts are created equal. our equipment and techniques are what make or break a great haircut. going to a certified stylist like ours, ensures that our team has proven that they are educated around safety, sanitization, techniques, and can educate you on why or why not a certain goal of groom is right for your dog. for example, if you bring us a wirehaired breed you will be educated on hand stripping. we’ll discuss with you benefits and we will help you decide if you want to clipper it or pursue hand stripping services instead.
